Family Weekend Registration
12:00 Noon to 6:00pm
Student Alumni Foundation Office, Rm. 333
3rd floor Union Building
Registration packets will be available in the SAF office, and can be picked up
between the times stated above. Included in the registration packet will be
tickets to all Family Weekend events. If you or your student are unable to pick
up your registration packet on Friday, you may obtain it Saturday afternoon at
the Tailgate/Pep Rally.
Homecoming Parade
6:00 pm
Down Grand River Avenue
The weekend’s activities begin on Friday evening with the Homecoming
Parade. Bands, floats, championship athletic teams, the Homecoming Court
and many more perform along a two-mile route delighting Spartans of all ages.

Tailgate/Pep Rally
3:00 - 5:00 pm
Auditorium Field by “The Rock”
No fall weekend would be complete without a traditional tailgate. Join us as the
celebration continues at our Spartan Tailgate/Pep Rally. The tailgate lunch will
include hamburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, veggie sandwiches, macaroni and
cheese, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, brownies and more. Our program
and entertainment will begin promptly at 3:00 pm and will consist of the MSU
Marching Band, MSU Cheerleaders, Sparty, MSU Dance Team, Drum Line, and
the Spartan Dischords.

Kickoff 7:00 pm
Spartan Stadium
Cheer on the Spartans as they crush the Indiana Hoosiers in a classic Big 10
contest, with special half-time Homecoming festivities!

Special MSU Tours
Tours Begin at 12:00 Noon and 2 PM*
We have arranged a special tour of Munn Ice Arena, and a MSU Historical
Tour. Tour group sizes are limited. You will be placed in your preferred tour
based on availability.
Munn Ice Arena Tour
Tours Begin at 12:00 Noon and 2 PM*
Home of our 2007 NCAA National Championship Men’s Ice Hockey Team.
The Ice Arena, built in 1974, seats over 6,400 people. It is still recognized as
one of the top campus hockey rinks in the NCAA. Munn Ice Arena is also
used for high school and amateur hockey and ice skating.

Special MSU Historical Tour
Tours Begin at 12:00 Noon and 2 PM*
Within the years since MSU’s founding in 1855, it has grown from an initial
graduating class of seven to enrollment of over 42,000 students in 2007. Learn
about the bandshell that used to sit along the banks of the Red Cedar and
discover why over 20,000 people filled Adams Field in 1907. Michigan State’s
history unfolds on this walking tour of campus, starting at the “Rock” near the
Auditorium.
