Name: Andrew Baglini
Hometown: Essex, Vermont

Major: Geography
Why I Bleed Green: I chose MSU for several reasons. First, it had geography and urban planning programs. They were both good programs, and they seemed to fit my interests. Second, I was looking for a big school, with big time athletics, and a lot of diversity among the students. Third, I was looking for a school out of my home state of Vermont, in a new part of the country. Lastly, Michigan State's campus is the most beautiful I have ever seen.
Advice for Future Spartans: Go to as many athletic and university events as you can, you will never forget them

The campus, BigTen atmosphere and most importantly the super friendly and welcoming students, faculty and staff here are second to none!
Advice for Future Spartans: Definitely don’t be afraid to get a little out of your comfort zone initially when you come to school to meet new people, join a club or a team or try something you’ve never tried before. Take advantage of every opportunity you have here in college… in short, get involved!

Name: Sarah Choss
Hometown: Farmington Hills, Michigan
Class Standing: Sophomore
Major: Communicative Sciences & Disorders
Why I Bleed Green: When I first visited MSU, I fell in love with the campus. I thought it was absolutely beautiful and I loved how there was always something going on. After attending a small high school, I wanted to attend a big university so there would always be new people to meet and new things to do. I knew I would have no problem finding a club to join, friends to hang out with, sporting events to attend, and classes that interested me. And I was absolutely right!
Advice for Future Spartans: Get involved! The best way to meet new people is to take part in all the activities MSU has to offer. Go door-to-door and meet people on your floor, participate in floor activities, and join a club. Don't be shy--every freshman is in the same boat as you!

Name: Meghan Durham
Hometown: Lake Forest, California
Class Standing: Senior
Major: Communication, specializing in Public Relations
Why I Bleed Green: I wanted a big school, with a big campus and big sports and a good communications program. My mom actually made me apply to MSU, because she knew it fit all that criteria. After touring the campus and meeting the dedicated and exciting Orange County alumni, I knew that MSU was where I really belonged. The environment on MSU's campus is awesome; students and faculty are so friendly and approachable, and as cliche as it sounds, the 40,000+ people on campus truly feel like family.
Advice for Future Spartans: Get involved in as much as you can! Attend the football games, the basketball games, and the little events here and there around campus. There are so many people to meet and so many things to do, and if you're afraid to go out on a limb and get involved, you'll regret it.

I love the fact MSU is its own community/town with so many different majors and students from around the world. It has a great Food Science Program along with a Dairy Plant and Meat Lab. I chose to go away, very far away from home, to learn how to become an independent person and how to deal with situations on my own, which I am on my way to doing.
Advice for Future Spartans: Have fun, get involved in campus, meet new people, and put yourself out there. MSU has a lot of great resources so take advantage of them... and go to the football games- you won't experience anything else like it!

Advice for Future Spartans: Even though the first couple weeks of school are stressful, with everything so new and different, make sure you make an effort to socialize with people on your floor - the friends you make right away will most likely be with you for the long run and this will affect your happiness for the rest of the year, if not the rest of your college experience.

Why I Bleed Green: Much of my family attended this great university and from a young age, my allegiance was deemed as a Spartan. With over 450,000 living alumni across the entire world, the possibilities for a Spartan hopeful, student, or alum are endless.
